            These works are necessary with a view to rendering compatible the CODESP system and RFFSA's southeastern net, which was privatised recently. On the other hand, such measures shall as well accomodate the port to the anticipated increase of rail participation within the ground logistics.

    RIGHT MARGIN / RAILWAYS RELOCATION
     

            Aiming at the increase in density and in dimensions of the area for lease, at making compatibles the CODESP system and the one of FEPASA (whose privatization shall be accomplished soon) and at allowing trains with greater cargo capacity to reach the port.
             
            For this purpose, the tracks' radius of curvature shall be widened in some places as well as tracks replacements will be made in order to allow larger locomotives to work.

    INTEGRATED ROAD TERMINALS
     

            According to coordinated action from both city administrations - Santos and Guarujá - and from the State of São Paulo Government, the project plans to establish strategically located road terminals on both margins, connected by computer links to the docks operations.
