    SUBSTRUCTURE PROJECTS
    The priorities for the Port.

     

     
            CODESP HAS ALREADY DEFINED AND GIVEN PRIORITY TO THE PORT OF SANTOS' PROJECTS FOR BASIC SUBSTRUCTURE
             
            In a number of 9 items, the projects shall be concluded in two years according to the company, by means of the resources from the Containers Terminal's bidding as well as patrimonial revenues from other leasings.

    1. Removal of the "Ais Giorgio" wreck
     
    2. Extension of Portuária Avenue
     
    3. Deepening of the Port's canal
     
    4. The canal's stones removal
     
    5. Sanitary measures
     
    6. Making the Organized Port's areas available
     
    7. Left margin / Railways recovery works
     
    8. Right margin / Railways relocation
     
    9. Integrated road terminals

    REMOVAL OF THE "AIS GIORGIO" WRECK
     

            Removal of the wreck of the ship "Ais Giorgio", which caught fire and sank on January, 1974.
            Partially under water the ship's structure is located in front of Warehouse 17, by the Outeirinhos region.

    EXTENSION OF THE PORTUARY AVENUE
     

            Presently the following intervals are already implemented:
             
              Alamoa - Saboó: 1.4 km
              Valongo - Paquetá: 1.8 km
              Macuco - Ponta da Praia: 4.0 km

            The extension works consist in:
             
              the execution of the following intervals
                Saboó - Valongo (2.0 km)
                Paquetá - Macuco (4.0 km)

              construction of a viaduct over the rail access to RFFSA, at Saboó;
               
              duplication of the viaduct over the Anchieta Road, at Alamoa
               
              improvements in the intervals
                Alamoa - Saboó
                Valongo - Paquetá
